At the conclusion of the initial visit (“Intake appointment”), he will discuss possible diagnoses and offer treatment options. Treatments may include one or more of the following: psychotherapy/counseling, dietary changes, medications, holistic treatments like acupuncture, and referral to other specialists.  Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of medicine and is effective for Pain problems, Migraines and certain mental disorders.

If you are struggling with an addiction, Dr Nagaraja will review additional treatment options, including buprenorphine (trade name: Suboxone) and substance abuse counseling.

We are pleased to bring Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) to the Fredericksburg region.  TMS is a cutting edge treatment for Depression, without the side effects of medications.  TMS offers hope to patients who have tried medications, therapy and other treatments, without relief.  TMS is an FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approved procedure that works by stimulating certain regions of the brain that are not functioning well in Depression.  It is non-invasive, safe and completely unrelated to “shock therapy.”  There is no anaesthesia and no recovery period.  Call our office for more information or to schedule your appointment.

After your initial visit, our staff will schedule you for a 15-60 minute follow up appointment.  Follow-ups will be scheduled according to individual patient needs.  During this time, medication doses may be adjusted, blood tests may be ordered, psychotherapy progress may be assessed.

Please refer to our Intake Forms page.
